Here is an overview of the management in Norway.

Audun Aaland, CEO & Region West

Audun holds a Civil Engineering degree from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim and started his career as a researcher in SINTEF, the Department of Road Technique. After four years at SINTEF, he started working for the NPRA in Sogn og Fjordane where he worked for 16 years as both Graduate Engineer, Head of Department, Chief Engineer, Project Manager and Production Manager. In 2000, Audun went over to Mesta as Head of Construction Works and Head of Tunnel department, before he started working as Project Director in AF and later as Chief Engineer at the Directorate of Public Roads. In 2007 he went over to NCC first as Development Manager at NCC Construction and later as Head of Marketing and Tender. In 2012 Audun became CEO of Bilfinger Construction until 2015 when the company was acquired by Implenia. Audun then became Project Manager for the project K11 in Bergen, before he took over the responsibility for the Tendering Department in Implenia Norge. He became CEO of Implenia Norge in 2018.

Halvard Leren, Region East

Halvard holds a Civil Engineering degree from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim and started his career drawing agricultural buildings at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences at Ås. In 1996 he was employed by Veidekke Entreprenør where he worked as a Project Engineer, Construction Manager and with calculations, initially until 2001. After this Halvard worked on the African continent for three and a half years, first as a Cost Controller and IT Manager for Bujagali EPC Consortium in Uganda and later with calculations and as Site Manager for A/ S Noremco Construction in Tanzania. In 2005 Leren went back to Veidekke in Norway, now as Construction Manager, Project Manager and Head of Department, where he stayed until 2014. In January 2015 Halvard started working for Implenia Norge, as Project Manager for E6 Vinstra-Sjoa. After two years in the company, Halvard took over as Director of Region East.

Hege Strand, Head of HR

Hege Strand has a law degree from the University of Tromsø. Hege has extensive experience in HR and organizational development and was, amongst other things, responsible for HR at Synsam Norway, Studentsamskipnaden i Oslo (The student welfare organization for Oslo and Akershus) and at the municipality of Halden, Norway. Hege has also worked at the Norwegian Maritime Directorate and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. Hege has extensive experience in HR work, and has worked with organizational and cultural development, change-over processes, competence training, management development and tariff and wage bargaining. Hege started working as the HR Director at Implenia Norge AS in August 2014. In 2015 she became Head of HR in Implenia in Scandinavia.

Bård Kristian Flore, Region North

Bård Kristian is a graduate engineer with a master in construction from NTNU in Trondheim, at the same time working part-time for NCC Construction. In 2009 he became a trainee in the Mesta Group, and after graduation from the trainee programme he worked as a Manager of the operational department Mesta Drift, Project Manager for the departments Anlegg Helgeland and Fjellsikring Nord in Mesta, and later as District Manager for District Helgeland in Mesta. Bård Kristian joined as Project Manager at Implenia in 2014 and was responsible for building up the Rock Protection Department as well as expanding the activity in Northern Norway. Today he works as Regional Manager for Region North.

John Magnus Lello, Tunnel Department

John Magnus is a civil engineer within construction from NTNU in Trondheim, where he also worked part-time as a Research Assistant on various projects related to tunneling and stone quarry operations, both domestically and abroad. During the studies he had a summer job as a Project Engineer for the AF Group Norway on the project Hardangerbrua. Following his studies, he joined Leonhard Nilsen & Sønner, where he worked as Blasting Engineer, Site Manager and Project Manager, amongst other on projects involving the construction of sewage systems under Hong Kong, construction of a complete hydropower plant in Nordland, and the construction of road tunnels and caverns on the Faroe Islands. He joined Implenia Norge as Project Manager in 2015 and now leads the Tunnel Department.

Knut W. Thoresen, Equipment Services

Knut is a graduate engineer from the Machinery Programme at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) in Trondheim. He worked as an Engineer in the Air Force Supply Command (LFK) and as Project Engineer at Norenco. From 1986 to 1999 he worked as a Group Manager and Project Manager in SCA / SABA Mölnlycke, mainly with large-scale production machines for household products. He worked for some years as Manager, Assisting Key Account and Project Manager at GDM Engineering, before joining Mika in 2003 as Machine Manager and Procurement Leader. Mika was acquired by Betonmast Anlegg, and today he works as Director of Equipment Services at Implenia Norge.
